Position Overview
CJ Logistics Freight America is seeking a Planning Analyst to support our transportation operations and deliver operational excellence for our customers. In this role, you will oversee the transportation planning process for multiple customer products - balancing cost efficiency, service, and customer needs. - Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM with flexibility based on business needs
- This is a hybrid with expectation to work on-site 4 days per week and remotely 1 day per week.
What You’ll Do
As a Planning Analyst at CJ Logistics America, you’ll play a key role in keeping transportation operations running smoothly, profitably, and on time. Every day will bring opportunities to solve problems, collaborate with partners, and make an impact. Here’s how you’ll contribute:
- Plan smart, move smart – Use routing data to create cost-effective load plans for shipping locations that maximize efficiency and profitability
- Be the bridge – Communicate directly with shippers to resolve production issues before they become roadblocks
- Think ahead – Confirm warehouse capacity before tendering loads to keep operations flowing seamlessly
- Close the loop – Plan and process customer returns quickly and effectively
- Stay connected – Lead daily update calls with stakeholders to align on priorities and progress
- Keep leadership informed – Prepare and distribute daily summary reports highlighting key activity and outcomes
- Measure what matters – Track, analyze, and manage KPIs to drive continuous improvement
- Jump in where needed – Take on additional projects and responsibilities that support the team and our customers
What You'll Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Transportation.
- Knowledge of applicable Transportation regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google applications.
- Experience working in a transportation management system (TMS) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret instructions in various formats (written, verbal, scheduled)
- Results-oriented with strong planning and time-management skills
- Demonstrated sound judgment, diplomacy, and adaptability in fast-paced environment.
- Availability for on-call work and participation in a Saturday rotation as needed
